AWP Conference 2018 Free Webinar: An Update of the COAA Scalability Project

The original COAA WorkFace Planning model and the subsequent COAA-CII joint AWP model were designed for performance improvements on megaprojects. With an industry need for a model that can provide similar benefits to projects of varying type and smaller scope, the Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA) Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Scalability Committee has undertaken a project to develop a model for the application of AWP to wider variety of projects, focusing on projects valued at $100M and under. The goal is to help improve smaller projects’ outcomes with the application of AWP principles, modified to address project size, complexity and familiarity.

The COAA AWP Scalability Committee will report out at the AWP Conference 2018. This update provides some interesting information about the progress and goals of the project working groups so far, including a preview of the tools and documents in development.
